Keith Price Double Quartet
Keith Price is a Winnipeg-based guitarist and composer. Beginning on his grandfather's old guitar, Price was first influenced by pop music, punk rock, and heavy metal before discovering jazz at age fifteen. Price began his formal studies at The Conservatory of Amsterdam and upon returning to Winnipeg, turned down a scholarship from The New School in New York City and instead, opted to study with local jazz guitar guru Larry Roy as part of Steve Kirby's newly-established jazz program at the University of Manitoba. Price is now enjoying an inspiring period of musical growth while studying with internationally recognized pianist and composer Michael Cain.


ERS Main Series 5: Robert Uchida and Friends
The Edmonton Recital Society presents Main Series 5: Robert Uchida and Friends on Sunday April 30, 2017 at 2pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 10037 84 Avenue.



Once Upon A Star tells the musical story of a young boy named Joey and his trip through the solar system with his new friend Vega the star. Joey and Vega visit each planet and together discover some of their properties and how different they are from each other. They also find out what it means to be a good friend.


Handel's Water Music
Alberta Baroque Music Society presents Handel's Water Music at the Robertson Wesley United Church (10209 123 St) on April 30. Handel’s Water Music is a collection of orchestral movements composed at King George I's request for a concert on the River Thames. Also on the program are works by Boyce, Avison and J.C. Bach


Jubiloso! Bells of Concordia
JUBILOSO! Bells of Concordia, a seventeen member community-based ensemble performs on the largest set of handbells and handchimes in Canada! This presentation, “Blues, Rock and All That Jazz”, features a wide spectrum of music from jazz standards such as Fly Me to the Moon to Dancing Queen from the Swedish group Abba.


Anton Schwartz Quintet
Jazz's greatest improvisers create music that carries an emotional wallop. It's a lesson that tenor saxophonist Anton Schwartz learned well. His latest album “Flash Mob” spent eight weeks in jazz radio's Top 10 and earned a four-star review in Down Beat magazine, reinforcing his reputation as a passionate but poised improviser and smart purveyor of captivating melodies.


Music of the English Tudors
The Scona Chamber Singers under the direction of John Brough will perform Sacred and Secular music of Tallis, Byrd, and Gibbons; some of the greatest composers who worked in Tudor England.


A Canadian Roadtrip
Shumayela, Kikimasu, and Tamariki take you on a journey to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday!

Voices from the Edge
Vacilando and Òran, Kokopelli’s adult ensembles, explore voices that often go unheard in our community. This program will feature works by women composers and composers of colour.


John Stetch and VulnerVille
The NYC-based quartet VulnerVille is Stetch’s favorite project yet, and is his most energetic and playful vehicle for his original compositions.


Concerto Grosso
A program of Italian concerti grossi by Corelli and Geminiani. During the end of the 17th century what we know today as the concerto grosso morphed into existence. In its basic form the baroque concerto grosso is a multi-movement work which contrasts a small group of solo instruments concertino i.e; two violins, cello, and harpsichord, against a full string orchestra and continuo known as the ripieno.

Sacred a cappella music by Canadian, American and European composers. Featuring magnificent Alleluia settings by J.S. Bach, Randall Thompson, Eric Whitacre and more.




Alio Modo
A program featuring works by Bach transcribed for viola da gamba consort. Bach’s flowing contrapuntal lines lie well on these instruments, and in terms of getting his counterpoint across, this setting works remarkably well!


Vocal Alchemy<br>
15th Anniversary Gala
Our 15th Anniversary celebration will be a musical feast for the ears as we take our annual orchestral-work concert up a notch with a performance at the spectacular Winspear Centre. Music of Mozart for large choir, orchestra, and soloists will be paired with a variety of a cappella and accompanied selections, including the premiere of a newly commissioned work by Canadian composer Mark Sirett. We’ll be joined by our friends from Chronos Vocal Ensemble. Don’t miss this exciting milestone!

Jon Mayer/PJ Perry Quartet
Jon Mayer is an excellent modern mainstream pianist who earlier in his career worked with Kenny Dorham, Jackie McLean, the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra and Sarah Vaughan.
P.J. Perry is considered by many critics and fans alike to be Canada's greatest alto saxophonist who has shared the stage with countless jazz greats including Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Shaw, Michel Legrand, and of course, Tommy Banks.

For their annual Spring concert, Excentrica is pleased to present Particularly Presto!, an eclectic program of sacred and secular choral music from Baroque to Folk.

Fernanda Cunha
Fernanda Cunha is a Brazilian jazz singer from Rio de Janeiro. For this visit to Edmonton, she will be accompanied by Toronto guitarist Reg Schwager and pianist Chris Andrew and bassist Rubim de Toledo, both from Edmonton!


Audrey Ochoa Trio
Audrey Ochoa is one of Edmonton's most prolific trombone players, playing jazz, rock, pop, Latin, punk, ska and whatever other genre will have her.


Ray Charles Tribute Orchestra<br>Ft. Donald Ray Johnson & John Gray
Paying homage to one of the greatest musicians of all time, the Ray Charles Tribute Orchestra is a nine piece ensemble performing the hits made famous by the Soul legend.
The Ray Charles Tribute Orchestra's tight sound, danceable rhythms and extensive repertoire are a celebration of the genius, Ray Charles.



It’s a choir crawl! Back by popular demand, this concert takes you on a freeform journey between little-known Edmonton church venues along our city’s historic Church Street (96 St), ending up with a massed choir in the park.


Heaven & Earth
i Coristi Chamber Choir and Da Camera Singers team up to present a two-concert experience. On May 27 i Coristi will sing songs of Paradise, and on May 28 Da Camera will sing songs of nature and the earth, plus a joint performance at both concerts. Subscriptions include a ticket the May 27 concert, and a free ticket to the May 28 concert. Single tickets to Da Camera's May 28 concert can be purchased through the choir.

Pro Coro Canada Concert: Childhood Memories
Part of the Edmonton International Choral Festival. An exploration of childhood as experienced in diverse cultures around the world and here at home. Featured composers include Veljo Tormis and Ugis Praulinš alongside Canadians Michal Novotny and Allan Gilliland.

Voces Nordicae: Earth Call
The Edmonton International Choral Festival presents Voces Nordicae: Earth Call on Saturday June 3 at 8pm at All Saints' Anglican Cathedral, 10035 103 St NW.

Earth Call brings to light the United Nation’s global development goals through newly written music, film and images. The performance, which includes vocal improvisation and choreography, features photography by Kristina Junzell.

Tickets are $30 for Adults and $25 for Students and Seniors 65+, plus applicable fees.
